The Rake
05:13
|
|||
You found a home
A settled land of light
Our traditions, our times
As you kiss her right
I’m back to finding
I’m back to finding
Regret’s a fool’s errand
Unbeknownst to me
Hulking for such love
Despite it’s availability
I’m back to finding
I’m back to finding
A rake I must seem
As to in-the-pink views
Was it I who did not allow
Intimacy imbued
I’m back to finding
I’m back to finding
A shut in, a warhead
Ample in blow and bite
Too tough and sour mouthed
To melt in maudlin light
I’m back to finding
Or was it you all along?
A rift in idyllic wood
Staying put for harvest’s song
Crop was tried for all it’s good
I’m back to finding
(what’s in a home/what makes a home)
Back to finding
(what’s in a home/what makes a home)
Perhaps it was the hour
Eternalizing a confounded us
A river with no junction
Crossings shorn of trusts
I’m back to finding

Sense Of Touching
05:31
|
|||
If memory does
Shift with right cause
What is my sense of touching
How can one fiend
Wipe something so clean
As my own sense of touching
You consider how deep
The sick within in you eats
Into my own sense of touching
What makes it true
A skulk with the claim to
My own sense of body
Like a fox puffs its musk
As if the vixen sees as dusk
Have you any sense of touching
Have you any sense of touching
Have you any sense of touching
How dare you take my sense of touching
Have you sense of touching
How dare you take my sense of touching
I only dare to move forward
But I am too frightened by the task
Cause he took my sense of touching
A man can be a monster
Yet we turn as if it only once occurred
Yet he took my sense of touching
Yes he took my sense of touching
In this paradox of strength
Who owns it me or you
I tumble out of view
And so far away from love
And lonesome is now as it was before
Even easier to shut the door
When I have no sense of
When I have no sense of
Touching

Infinite Loop
04:26
|
|||
Infinite loop
Circling
Circling back
Back
And now it seems
I call for you
No future perfect I see
The father of a brilliant child
And as the sadness
And regret swim with me
The flow is heavy
The stroke upstream
And yet a hope for your happiness is there too
Returning to
The letting go
Of you
Infinite
Infinite
Yeah I call out for you …..

Free Will and Testament
05:21
|
|||
Given free will but within certain limitations
I cannot will myself to limitless mutations
I cannot know what I would be if I were not me
I can only guess me
So when I say that I know me, how can I know that?
What kind of spider understands arachnophobia?
I have my senses and my sense of having senses
Do I guide them? Or they me?
The weight of dust exceeds the weight of settled objects
What can it mean, such gravity without a centre?
Is there freedom to un-be?
Is there freedom from will-to-be?
Sheer momentum makes us act this way or that way
We just invent or just assume a motivation
I would disperse, be disconnected. Is this possible?
What are soldiers without a foe?
Be in the air, but not be air, be in the no air
Be on the loose, neither compacted nor suspended
Neither born nor left to die
Had I been free, I could have chosen not to be me
Demented forces push me madly round a treadmill
Demented forces push me madly round a treadmill
Let me off please, I am so tired
Let me off please, I am so very tired

I wanted to make something beautiful
All the while shying away from beautiful
I wanted to make something beautiful
But it’s ugly mirrored me
I danced a dolphin dance, a dolphin dance
Memorized a memory
I danced a dolphin dance, a dolphin dance
But the memory caught up with me
Mirroring mirroring
Memory
Mirror me mirror me
